Before You Start…
It’s paramount to check the manufacturer’s cleaning suggestion first. For instance, bleach is a preferred solution for cleaning plastic furniture, but it might not be suitable for your vinyl strap pool furniture. In fact, bleach, ammonia, chlorine, and other harsh abrasives can strip off the UV protection of the straps.
Strap Pool Furniture
The vinyl straps on pool loungers become dirty and oily from suntan lotions and weather. Not to mention that the constant humidity can cause them to fade prematurely. Here’s how to clean them properly.
What you need:
-
Mild detergent
-
Garden hose
-
Bucket
-
Soft bristle scrub brush
Spray the loungers with the hose to remove any dirt of the straps and frame. Combine ¼ cup of mild detergent with one gallon of warm water. Mix the water to ensure the detergent dissolves properly. Dip the brush into the mixture and scrub the chairs one strap at a time. Spray the pool furniture with the hose to rinse the detergent.
White Plastic Deck Chairs
White plastic deck chairs are an affordable solution for your pool furniture. However, you don’t want your guests (or your family for what matters) to have to sit on dirty chairs. That’s why you need to learn how to clean them properly and keep them in pristine condition.
